About My Clients
Teens and young adults are often met with challenges as they navigate this challenging world. Many teens and young adults struggle with low self-esteem, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. There are many life transitions during this time that can cause a tremendous amount of stress. I provide the support and skills building needed to get through challenging times.
My Background and Approach
I work from a trauma-informed lens. This means that I work with your teen or young adult to recognize their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the context of trauma. I am a certified dialectical behavioral therapist and work with teens and young adults to gain skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I am a licensed professional counselor in both PA and NJ. I am a certified child and adolescent trauma therapist, a national certified counselor and a licensed behavioral specialist. I work with my clients to make changes so that they can have a life worth living.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe very strongly that teens and young adults can build resilience to overcome their past traumatic experiences and build a life worth living. I focus on building resilient, trauma-informed communities as well. I advocate for my clients to access the resources needed to build lives worth living. I am an associate faculty member who teaches future counselors to be advocates for their clients.
