About My Clients
You may be dealing with trauma, anxiety or a difficult relationship with food and your body. Perhaps chronic illness, family stress or a major change has affected how you cope and see yourself. I work with adults, including neurodivergent clients and people recovering from abuse or eating disorders. Therapy is available in English and Spanish. We’ll understand what is happening and build practical ways to move forward. To work with me, book through my website.
My Background and Approach
My background includes mental health care, social services, education, crisis intervention and work with families. I’ve supported people in outpatient, inpatient and community settings, including those dealing with trauma, eating disorders and complex family situations. This means I look at more than symptoms. We’ll also consider the relationships, experiences and environments affecting you. I use EMDR, CBT, DBT, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. Depending on what you need, we may process a painful experience, work on managing strong emotions or build coping skills you can use outside of therapy. My style is grounded, direct and down-to-earth. I’ll listen carefully and make room for difficult feelings, but I’ll also offer honest feedback, point out patterns and gently challenge you when it may help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe good therapy should help you feel understood and capable. Support matters, but so does leaving with a clearer sense of what you can do next. I’ll explain why certain patterns may be showing up, help you build on what is already working and give you practical tools to try between sessions. As a bilingual Latina therapist, I understand that culture, family and language can affect how people talk about mental health and whether asking for help feels comfortable. I won’t assume I know what your background means to you, but I’ll make room for it to be part of our work. Therapy with me can include serious conversations, honest feedback and humor when it fits. You won’t be judged for where you are, but I also won’t underestimate your ability to change.
