About My Clients
I want to praise you for taking this initial step towards starting therapy. I understand it can be overwhelming, especially if it is your first time, but I am here to guide you along the way.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and elders. I have supported patients for the last 9 years and have worked in wrap-around settings for children/adolescents, public mental and medical health settings, and an inpatient psychiatric facility. I attended California State University San Bernardino and received a Bachelor’s in Sociology. During my undergraduate studies, I focused on mental health in low-income communities. Afterward, I received my Master’s in Social Work at Boston University with a focus on Clinical Practice. As a second-generation Mexican-American therapist I understand how culture and family of origin can impact one’s sense of self and bring a culturally sensitive and empathetic perspective to therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach is warm, compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative. Supporting those healing from past traumas, suffering from anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and overall having difficulties adjusting to life’s many challenges is my passion. Learning how to navigate life transitions, developing effective coping mechanisms, and becoming the best version of yourself are my priorities. I provide a safe and supportive environment for you to express your thoughts and feelings, and I meet you where you are to tailor our sessions to fit your unique needs best.
