I have worked with adolescents since 2010 with a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. Because of the nature of my work, I have also worked with their family system as a whole to help heal the family together. Adolescents need to know that despite their age they have a voice and it matters. I am an advocate for my adolescent patients as well as a support to the family system, as I believe recovery from any hardship require support and positive communication from all parties.

I have worked with patients struggling with PTSD since 2010. I work with patients individually, & their family system as whole should they desire, to heal from the truama they struggle with. I recognize that effective treatment for PTSD is not a one-size-fits-all treatment option and am very careful to listen and respond to your needs in order to help you recover. I recognize that addressing truama is uncomfortable and understand the importance of working at your pace to help you recover.

I have worked with abuse/addiction since 2010 in a residential setting. I am 12-step, faith based & SMART Recovery friendly. Too often does treatment for substance use follow the guidelines of 12 step work without recognizing that there are other ways to recover. You deserve to choose your path to recovery. I dont believe anyone is 'hopeless' nor do I believe that anyone is 'undeserving' of reocvery. I will work to try and keep you present focused so you are able to become who you aspire to be.

Thoughts, emotions and behaviors are all intertwined. I use CBT therapy with my clients to help them gain insight on each area and learn the tools needed to effectively redirect them. CBT can help effectively manage symptoms and teach coping skills in order to resolve internal and external conflicts.

Mindfulness therapy an important therapy to utilize when trying to break free from negative thought patterns. I often use it with clients to help become more aware of their physical and mental self. This therapy helps clients find coping skills they find effective to manage unwanted triggers clients are battling. Mindfulness is especially an important practice, to me, as many of the coping skills taught can be utilized no matter where you are such as breathing techniques.

Motivational interviewing helps patient resolve problems by finding what it is that effectively motivates them to make changes. If a client's ultimate goal is long-term, it can help create focus on what steps need to be taken in order to achieve that goal. Then this type of therapy assists patients with determining how to complete short term goals through the strengths each client already posses. Often, helping clients find new strengths they didn't notice they had!
