About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating life transitions, trauma, and identity exploration. My background includes supporting women, trauma survivors, LGBTQIA+ individuals, children, families, and those in hospice care. I use relational, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, to help people process experiences, strengthen resilience, and foster self-understanding in a safe, supportive space.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and have a background supporting children and families, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals in hospice care. These experiences have shaped the compassion, respect, and belief in resilience that guide my practice today. My own life experiences also inspired me to pursue therapy as a way of helping others find healing and strength. In my work, I use an integrative approach that combines relational, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based practices to support self-understanding and change. I am trained in EMDR Therapy, which I incorporate to help clients process trauma and build emotional resilience. My aim is to create a safe, affirming space where people feel seen and supported as they navigate challenges, explore patterns, and move toward deeper healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values are rooted in compassion, respect, and social justice, and these guide the way I show up both as a therapist and as a person. I am committed to providing affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and supporting efforts to reduce stigma around mental health. I also care deeply about equity in access to care and resources for survivors of violence. Outside of my work, I enjoy practicing mindfulness, yoga, and aerial arts as ways to stay grounded, connected, and creative. At the heart of my approach is the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported while navigating life’s challenges and discovering their strengths.
