I am queer and hold an undergraduate degree in Sociology specializing in LGBTQ+ and Gender issues. My graduate degree is an MSW with a focus on the intersections of LGBTQ+ and Trauma.
I am a non-binary, Trans-masculine person with an undergraduate degree in Sociology specializing in LGBTQ+ and Gender issues.
My graduate practicum was served at the Gender Health Center in Sacramento, under the supervision of Dr. David Nylund and Heather Woodford, LCSW. Dr. Nylund is a scholar and instructor of Narrative Therapy with the Vancouver School for Narrative Therapy and is the author of Treating Huckleberry Finn: A New Narrative Approach with Kids Diagnosed ADD/ADHD and the co-editor (with Craig Smith) of Narrative Therapies with Children and Adolescents. I utilize Narrative Therapy as my primary modality.
I combine Expressive Art Therapy with Narrative Therapy Expressive arts are used in art therapy to help people work through emotional issues, trauma, and more. Expressive arts used in conjunction with Narrative Therapy Techniques allows art therapists to help clients re-author their stories in ways that are meaningful and empowering.
