I'm excited to collaborate with individuals who are ready to learn, grow, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I believe lasting change happens when clients are willing to engage in the process, and practice new ways of thinking and coping outside of sessions. My Background and Approach
My background as a parent, late-in-life student, and administrative professional working in the medical field has taught me resilience, adaptability, empathy, and the importance of meeting people where they are. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the many roles, pressures, and transitions people navigate throughout life, and they continue to shape my compassionate, down-to-earth approach to counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand the importance of creating affirming, supportive spaces where people feel safe to be fully themselves. I have experience supporting parents, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and children through a collaborative and compassionate approach grounded in understanding and connection. I also bring personal insight into ADHD, neurodivergent households, anxiety, depression, life transitions, women's and parenting concerns, which helps me approach clients with empathy and authenticity. My values are rooted in social justice, inclusion, bodily autonomy, religious freedom, women’s rights, and the belief that all people deserve dignity, safety, and respect. I believe strongly in doing no harm, leading with compassion, and creating a space where clients feel accepted and free from judgment. Outside of counseling, my love for animals, nature, wellness, and authentic human connection continues to shape how I move through my personal life and my work with others.
