About My Clients
I predominately serve minority communities, including those with neurodivergent, racial minority, and sexual minority backgrounds. I also work with people who struggle with long-term and complex PTSD, as well as family or relationship-related trauma.
My Background and Approach
I have a particular interest in holistic and trauma-focused counseling methodologies, intergenerational trauma healing, couples & family counseling, and promoting research equity in counseling & psychology. By integrating psychodynamic, cognitive, and somatic approaches, my treatment methodology is geared toward targeting and healing acute and chronic symptoms, which can cause significant struggles in daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Finding someone who understands you for who you are and the complexities of your experiences can be a struggle. We all come from different walks of life, which shape how we see the world and how the world sees us. No one's walk is without trials and tribulations, which can have traumatic impacts on our mental health and quality of life. Everyone deserves to be heard and understood by someone who recognizes what they've been through and can help them foster personal growth and self-confidence. Working together, I believe we can get to the root of your struggles and cultivate tailored and realistic goals, that will be geared towards improving your quality of life and overall mental health. By using flexible and integrative approaches, we will pull from various research-based methodologies, to develop a plan specifically tailored to you.
