About My Clients
My desire is to help guide, encourage, empower and even challenge you to take the next step into embracing the healing and balance that is desired in your life. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges and want to learn some coping skills and better ways to communicate with your loved ones, I am here to support you through the process.
My Background and Approach
It is my desire to facilitate an environment that is comfortable and relaxed while gently introducing aspects of change to incorporate into your daily lives. I utilize a humanistic approach, using Cognitive Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and will draw on many other theoretical approaches as deemed necessary and appropriate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone at some point in their life will face a challenge and can use extra support and guidance. We all can be resilient and heal from the things that lead us to seek out therapy but taking that first step can be scary. In my office on a daily basis, you may hear my dog snoring a bit under my desk from time to time, as I am a big animal lover. Animals can provide comfort and healing in so many ways. When I struggled with depression a few years ago following the death of my mother, my pup helped me heal. Understanding the ins and outs of that battle, I hope to help you find comfort and peace.
