About My Clients
I am looking for clients who are familiar with Internal Family Systems and are seeking an IFS practitioner to help them in their healing journey. That journey includes working with trauma and early childhood attachment wounds that are negatively affecting them as adults.
My Background and Approach
I am an IFS Informed and EMDR trained Therapist. I have been utilizing both modalities for over 7 years in helping clients to find healing from trauma and early childhood wounds. I am currently working on obtaining my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with the focus on integrating EMDR with IFS.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a mature woman with a lot of life experiences to draw on in my work with clients. I am a veteran of the US Army, have been an RN for 33+ years prior to becoming a therapist. I hold two masters, one in Professional Counseling and one in Religion. I am an ordained minister in the Community of Christ, and a Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol. I have utilized therapy dogs in my practice when I was seeing face to face clients, and still have two working therapy dogs. I am an animal lover, and have three four legged "children". Shiloh (8 years) and Xander (7 months) are both English Cream Golden Retrievers and Wyatt (5 years) is a rescue terrier mix. I also have two grown children (the 2 legged variety) and 2 grandchildren. I have a passion for working with clients who have experienced early childhood wounds and are able to find healing in their lives, allowing them to live fuller, happier adult lives.
