About My Clients
I am honored to support individuals/families that have struggles that they are motivated to overcome. It is normal for us all to struggle from time to time. Many of us have endured trauma in the past and it can be a challenge to feel peace and/or joy again. Trauma focused therapy can provide a safe outlet for you to explore your concerns and learn or strengthen coping skills as you continue to find healing. I look forward to supporting you on this healing journey.
My Background and Approach
I have a strengths based approach. I believe that we all have strengths and sometimes we need help to recognize these strengths. I work hard to create a safe and judgment free space so that we can explore any and all topics that you feel would be helpful during our time together. Together, we make goals and a plan to reach those goals. I will provide you with tools that I have learned through my own personal and professional journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has struggles in their lives. Many of us are touched by trauma and work hard to get through necessary activities during our day to day life. I feel we can all change and grow at any point in our life when we are motivated to make the change. As a young adult I endured the death of a sibling by suicide. The death of my brother led me into the field of social work. I have lengthy professional experience with bereaved families as well as military families. I have also worked closely with many individuals who self medicate with alcohol and/or drugs and facilitated a 12 step weekly meeting. Whatever has led you to reading my profile, I hope we can connect and I am honored to companion you as you work towards your healing.
