About My Clients

Does it seem like you often second-guess your decisions? Perhaps you deal with anxiety, fear, or uncertainty about the future. It can be hard to move forward when you feel frozen in place. I often work with older teens, college students, and young adults who are facing big life choices. You might be uncertain about your career goals, dealing with decisions about marriage or your relationships, or just adjusting to being out on your own.

My Background and Approach

The tools that I'll provide you with are tools that I have been perfecting over my career helping people just like you. I have dozens of them. My goal for you is to have at least five different tools and techniques that you can carry with you at all times. So no matter where you go, you'll always have access to discreet exercises that can quickly create relief. I am direct and focused on challenging you. We'll work collaboratively to address the anxiety, that is bothering you right now. We'll start with what's going on in the moment and how to get control over your body and thoughts. My practice has been focused on helping people get rid of anxiety and heal from trauma. I have attended trainings that teach leading edge techniques. We'll address what's going on in your brain when you feel anxious and how to get in touch with different parts of your brain to find relief. We'll discuss what happens to your body when fear takes over so you can learn how to quickly calm down.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work with clients who may be struggling with trauma and anxiety related to childhood, current relationships or with family. During our initial intake session, we will discuss extensive information on presenting problems and will collaborate on specific goals to start on your path to healing. It is very important to me, to be genuine with clients. My sessions encompass empathy, challenge and an encouraging style. I have Christian beliefs and, if requested, will incoprorate those values into therapy. Most of my clients see gradual change in symptoms over 3 months, and increased improvement thereafter.
