About My Clients
You have been holding it together for a long time — carrying grief, trauma, or a relationship that feels broken. Maybe you are navigating a life transition that has quietly shaken everything you thought you knew about yourself. My clients often come from communities where asking for help feels complicated — shaped by faith, culture, or family expectations. I work with individuals and couples ready to stop surviving and start healing. In English and in Spanish.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker with advanced training in trauma and relational therapies. I specialize in Accelerated Resolution Therapy — ART — which processes traumatic memories rapidly without reliving them in painful detail. I am also a certified HeartMath practitioner, working directly with your nervous system to build resilience that lives in your body, not just your mind. For couples, I combine Emotionally Focused Therapy with the Gottman Method — helping you reconnect at the root level, not just the surface. My integrative approach draws on IFS, IFIO, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing — because every person deserves treatment tailored to them. I have deep experience with grief, pregnancy loss, identity disruption, and existential crisis. I bring cultural fluency, genuine warmth, and clinical sophistication to every session — in English and in Spanish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was born and raised in Mexico City and built my life in the United States — which means I understand firsthand what it means to navigate between cultures, carry two worlds inside you, and search for belonging in spaces not always designed with you in mind.I believe therapy is most powerful when it honors the whole person — not just their symptoms but their culture, their faith, their family history, and the values they carry into the room. Faith is not an obstacle to healing. It is often one of its most important resources.I am committed to making space for clients whose identity is shaped by community, tradition, and religious or cultural belonging — and who need a therapist who understands that complexity from the inside.I am a lifelong learner and someone who believes deeply in the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.
