About My Clients
Do you keep finding yourself in the same relationship argument with slightly different costumes? Maybe you’re carrying old family roles, questioning identity or intimacy, feeling disconnected from your partner, or exhausted from being the one who keeps everyone else functioning. I work best with individuals, couples, and families who are curious about their patterns and ready to understand where they came from, laugh when we can, and create something that actually fits who they are now.
My Background and Approach
I have an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and 700+ hours of clinical training working with individuals, couples, and families. My approach pulls from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, IFS-informed work, and EFT/Gottman-based relationship work-- which is therapist-speak for: we’ll look at the story, figure out what keeps happening, understand the different parts of you involved, and actually do something with what we learn. I especially enjoy working with relationship patterns, family dynamics, identity, intimacy, and experiences from the past that keep inviting themselves into the present without being asked. I’m collaborative, curious, and not interested in sitting silently while you wonder if I’m judging you. We’ll make sense of what’s happening, build on what’s already working, and help you create relationships-- with yourself and others-- that feel more intentional, connected, and genuinely yours.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a therapist, adoptive mom, longtime professional belly dancer, and big believer that there is no single “right” way to build a family, relationship, identity, or life. I value curiosity, humor, authenticity, chosen family, and making space for people to be fully themselves without having to shrink or perform. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and welcoming of diverse identities, relationship styles, and family structures. I care deeply about helping people feel seen rather than judged, especially when they are navigating complicated family dynamics, intimacy, identity, belonging, or relationships that do not fit neatly into traditional boxes. I also believe therapy does not have to feel stiff or overly clinical. We can do meaningful work, have hard conversations, laugh when it fits, and make room for the wonderfully messy reality of being human.
