My Background and Approach
I draw from a variety of modalities depending on the needs of my clients. These modalities include Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Culturally-Sensitive, Solution-Focused, Strength-Based, Compassion-Focused and Mindfulness-based therapies. I believe in an eclectic approach to therapy combining relational work, psychodynamic exploration, somatic focused, and behavioral exercises. I provide you with tools and techniques to help yourself through your negative thought patterns, negative cycles and learn how to cope positively through lifes challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal. We all need support at times to get there and learn new thinking patterns and to recognize our repetitive patterns. It's not only our thoughts that make the positive change but our support system, what we consume via social media, our nutrition and other external input is just as important. I will take you on a journey to healing not only your thoughts but your sleep patterns if you deem that as a contributor to stress to communication strategies to advocate for your best needs.
