About My Clients
My specializations include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, ADHD, relationship difficulties and boundaries. I have spent much of my career working with at-risk youth and young adults presenting with a variety of disabilities and emotional problems. I have since expanded my practice, and am now working with adolescents, adults, and older adults across many racial, cultural, and socio economic groups.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a minor in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University. I received my Master of Arts in Social Work from Aurora University, Illinois and Master of Arts in School Leadership from Concordia University, Illinois. Lastly, I received my PhD in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. My research focused on students with emotional disabilities, resilience, and transition to adulthood. I have worked as a caseworker in child welfare throughout the city of Chicago, as a school social worker and vocational counselor at a therapeutic day high school in a Chicago suburb, and as a clinical therapist providing therapy to individuals throughout Illinois.
