About My Clients
I recognize the need for BIPOC therapists and am thankful that I can close the gap for BIPOC clients wanting to have a therapist they can relate to and not have to explain culture and diversity to. I love when I connect with clients about the struggles they face as a BIPOC, to validate feelings and empower clients to push through the difficulties and work on what they can change.
My Background and Approach
I've found that the best approach is to identify the root cause of why you're seeking therapy and work collaboratively to develop a plan to reduce the feelings of anxiety or depression. Through challenging the thoughts you may be having, my goal is to equip you with the tools to take back your power over your mind and body. I like to be practical, honest and grounded. I'm trained in Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and consider a trauma informed approach in all my approaches.
