About My Clients
I work with people with a variety of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, advanced illness, and life changes. I see adults. I'm an affirming LGBTQIA+ supporter with advanced education and experience in transgender and gender diverse health and clinical issues. You do not have to be in the LGBTQIA community to reach out and work with me. I write letters for gender-affirming surgery using the informed consent model, so typically in 1 sessions.
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire and a Master's in Social Work from Fordham Graduate School of Social Services in New York City. I begin by making a person-to-person connection, noting your strengths and skills as well as your stressors. I use an eclectic approach including self-compassion, CBT, mindfulness and solution/strengths-focused. Counseling can help you to improve relationships, manage grief or stress and anxiety, reach career and personal goals, and improve outlook and mood.
