About My Clients
My core clientele: Female identified persons ages 25 to 55 that are struggling with body image, self esteem, and/or sexual issues (including orientation, expression, gender identity, desires, etc.) that may stem from being overweight, underweight, disabilities (mental or physical), gender dysphoria, sexual trauma, struggling/abusive relationships, recent break-up/divorce, religious upbringing or anything that has made you feel “less than” or “not enough”. I also work with couples and moresomes.
My Background and Approach
I have always been the person that my peers came to for advice. I am also an avid reader and life long learner. I became interested in sex education and relationships in high school because I didn't believe we were getting all the information. I began my professional career volunteering for The Women's Center of Tarrant County as a Rape Crisis and Victim's Advocate. While there, I enrolled at University of Texas at Arlington and began my formal education. My two internships were with Department of Family and Protective Services working for Child Protective Services. After graduation I worked for CPS in adoptions for over a year and then transitioned into working as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor at three different agencies over a 5 year period. In January of 2015, I became certified as a Life Coach and specialize in sex and relationship coaching. In March of 2016, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and began my private practice. I am a Solution Focused Therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal philosophy is that love and communication are the answers to life's most pressing issues, especially those in relationships; which includes, the most important relationship, the relationship with oneself.
