About My Clients
I work with adults navigating substance use concerns, mental health diagnoses, and major life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from their goals and values. I support individuals who are working toward recovery, adjusting to new circumstances, or seeking greater stability and direction. Together, we focus on building motivation, strengthening resilience, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I earned my Master’s degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Substance Use Disorder Counselling from Springfield College. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. I emphasize collaboration, meeting clients where they are, and building on existing strengths. Rather than imposing solutions, I help individuals clarify their goals, strengthen intrinsic motivation, and develop practical tools to move forward. I work from a holistic perspective that recognizes the connection between mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to support clients in developing balance, resilience, and confidence as they navigate challenges and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person has inherent strengths and the capacity for growth, even during difficult seasons of life. Change does not happen through pressure or judgment — it happens when individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered to make choices aligned with their values. I strive to create a respectful, collaborative space where clients feel safe exploring their goals, challenges, and hopes. I embrace working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, honoring the beliefs and perspectives that shape who they are. If you’re ready to take steps toward greater wellbeing and direction, I would be glad to work alongside you.
