About My Clients
I work with kids and adults and treat everything from behavioral disorders to mood disorders and trauma. Many of my clients have had struggles with depression or anxiety; some have lost focus, while others are dealing with the burdens of trauma or loss. I treat folks with relational issues and consider family work as one of my specialties.
My Background and Approach
I have roots in attachment and family system theories, and believe relationship is key; but I am also very solution focused in my practice. I am trained in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) as well as trauma therapies such as EMDR and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) just to name a few. I believe in overall wellness and take a holistic approach to therapy with an emphasis on integrating
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in using all of our resources to live our best lives, and pride myself in working and collaborating with other service providers and entities such as schools and primary care clinics. I also believe animals have healing qualities and have a registered therapy dog in my practice. His name is Petey and he is cavapoo that is in the office with me most days.
