About My Clients
I specialize in both individual & couples/relationship therapy, with extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+, gender-nonconforming, & non-monogamous/polyam relationships and disabled, chronically ill & neurodivergent clients. I also specialize in mixed identity relationships (i.e. mixed neurotype, interracial, mono/poly) and working through trauma/shame.
My Background and Approach
Healing happens in relationships, and working with a therapist who makes you feel seen, heard, and supported can be a powerful catalyst for change. I am not a cookie-cutter therapist who only offers quick fixes or overgeneralized solutions. Instead, I prioritize collaborating with you to build trust & safety so you can bring your full, authentic self to the therapy room. With compassion, curiosity, and humor, we can co-create a therapeutic relationship that honors your history, strengths, values, and beliefs and cultivate deep-rooted, lasting change. My approach to therapy is grounded in harm reduction, mindfulness, and social justice. I welcome explorations of the many ways that power, privilege, oppression, and identity impact our lives. Together, we will honor your resiliency by balancing deep self-acceptance with making values-aligned commitments to change, so that you can not only survive, but thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a nonbinary, disabled, and neurodivergent queer person born and raised in the Midwest, now living in the PNW. Professionally, my experience includes working as a therapist, social worker, mental health consultant, trainer, and group facilitator. My interest in mental health came out of activist work supporting fellow trans folks, and I’m passionate about serving my communities. I have over 10 years of experience offering a range of support services—from running peace circles for survivors to staffing a crisis hotline—and five years experience providing trauma-informed therapy to LGBTQIA+ & disabled/neurodivergent folks. I'm deeply committed to disability justice & anti-racism, and enjoy bringing these lenses to the therapy room.
