About My Clients
We serve children, teens, and their families across California who are seeking clarity and support around learning, behavior, and development. Our clients often include children with suspected or diagnosed Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, or Speech-Language needs. We also support parents who feel stuck between what schools say and what doctors recommend, providing answers through comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming evaluations including Independent Educational Evals.
My Background and Approach
I’ve worked in special education for over 25 years, first as a teacher and now as a Licensed Educational Psychologist and BCBA. In 2019, I was honored as Riverside County Support Person of the Year for my work with preschoolers and their families. Alongside my daughter, SaVanna Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP, I co-founded NeuroChamp Educational Psychology & Speech Services to provide comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming evaluations for children and teens across California. Our approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. We start with a thorough parent interview, conduct evidence-based assessments, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that families can use at home and in school. Our goal is to give parents clarity and confidence, and to ensure every child is seen, understood, and supported.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every child deserves to be seen, understood, and supported for exactly who they are. As a Christian, my faith guides me in extending grace, compassion, and hope to the families I serve. I’m passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practices and helping families feel empowered to advocate for their children with clarity and confidence. Outside of my work, I’m a devoted wife, mom, and grandma, and my family is the light of my life. I also enjoy creating children’s books that highlight neurodiversity and promote inclusion. At NeuroChamp, my daughter and I are building more than a practice, we’re building a supportive community for families who often feel unseen or overwhelmed by the system.
