About My Clients
Sometimes life shatters us, and we have to pick up the pieces and figure out who we are all over again. It is harder than ever to do this work when the world around us is falling apart. And yet, here we are. You do not have to suffer alone. With curiosity, compassion, and a healthy sense of humor, I will help you identify strengths, tap into courage, and develop resilience. I see you as the expert on your life and I welcome the opportunity to help you become who you were always meant to be.
My Background and Approach
I am an integrative therapist, with training in Attachment, CBT, DBT, Narrative, and Drama therapies. I will walk beside you and help you change habit of thought and behavior, rewrite old stories that don't serve you anymore, and deepen you ability to be present in your body. My clients often tell me that I help them see themselves more clearly. Our work will happen within the safety of the relationship we create together. A healthy, authentic connection is vital for successful therapy, and I welcome your questions about my practice. Please contact me for a free consultation–I look forward to meeting you so that we can see if we’re a good fit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have dedicated my life to working with people, helping them understand themselves better, and facilitating growth and connection. I came to this profession later in life and my appreciation for each individual, and my belief in the tremendous healing power of relationships, made becoming a psychotherapist the natural result of my previous experiences. I am a lifelong dancetheater performing artist, and my personal journey of healing from trauma through movement, storytelling, and community have shaped me as a therapist. I believe in the importance of listening and honoring the wisdom of our bodies. As a director of ensemble performance work, I have facilitated opportunities for people participate in unique and powerful experiences which have helped them find healing and growth. As a lifelong educator, I value the innate intelligence, curiosity, and resilience that all humans hold. In other words, I trust that you can heal and I can help.
