About My Clients
Dawn Gallagher, LPC, CCTP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 30 years of helping experience. Dawn received her Bachelor of Arts from Hope International University and her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, Virginia. Before becoming a Licensed Counselor, Dawn devoted her time working as a Clinical Case Manager advocating for those with mental health and substance abuse difficulties.
My Background and Approach
Dawn is a compassionate, caring, and empathetic therapist with extensive clinical experience working within inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. She utilizes an integrative and strength-based approach to therapy, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Dawn specializes in many areas including, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, PTSD, women’s issues, stage of life concerns, and career/vocational concerns. Dawn also has specialized expertise working with individuals impacted by trauma.

Dawn’s treatment philosophy is informed by her belief that every person is intrinsically strong and capable of living a fulfilling and authentic life. Dawn aims to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can open up and work through life issues, no matter how big or small. Dawn likes to focus on what is suitable for her patients no matter what challenges they face or what labels others have given them. Through attentive care, she assists her clients in making sense of their life experiences and identifying their strengths. Whatever you are experiencing, Dawn will give you respect and the individual, collaborative treatment you deserve.
