About My Clients
Do you feel a stirring to go deeper into your being and body to discover where your stress, anxiety, depression, trauma or grief are coming from? Perhaps you've tried a slew of cognitive/behavioral modalities and want to go deeper to find what you can shift through presence, mindfulness and attunement to your nervous system. Perhaps you want to find better access to your creativity. I work experientially and at the same time meet you where you are/with what you're ready for.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licenced Professional Counselor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I am licensed in Arizona and Minnesota and can currently only take self-pay/telehealth clients in Minnesota. In Arizona I do take insurance and see both in-person/telehealth. I'm passionate about using this potent psychobiological method (SE) for resolving trauma symptoms and chronic stress fortressed by parts work a la Internal Family Systems, Raja Selvam's approach to birth/attachment/developmental trauma, plus emotion-focused and inner child work. Add on to that the use of art and some occasional dream work in a nest of person-centered attunement, suffused with humor, and you've got, well, .. me as a therapist! I work both virtually and in-person. So much of creating a healing process with the capacity for trauma, and any other issue you wish to work on, is acceptance for relationship with “the other”....allowing a loving, compassionate person in your space to support you and regulate with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong believer in making room for diversity of beliefs, open conversation, and creativity. An artist at heart, I feel deeply, I like to peer deeply into the blueprint that underlies polarity amongst people and within themselves, and I like to dig into authenticity and inauthenticity, whether it's through movement, stillness, dreams, creative projects, writing, or playing/listening to music. Creativity is a strong catalyst for me.
