About My Clients
I work with adults, couples, adolescents, and children experiencing relationship concerns, anxiety, grief, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions. Some clients come in knowing exactly what they want to address, while others are trying to understand why certain feelings or patterns keep showing up. Whether you're working through betrayal, questioning a relationship, struggling with confidence, or wanting to better understand yourself, our conversations start with what matters most to you.
My Background and Approach
I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and am currently completing my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an anticipated graduation in May 2027. I have also passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE). My therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gestalt techniques. I believe counseling should be tailored to each individual, recognizing that no two people have the same experiences, perspectives, or needs. My counseling style is conversational, collaborative, and genuine. I believe therapy involves more than simply discussing what's wrong. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and encourage clients to explore how their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviors connect. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, recognize patterns, gain new perspectives, and make meaningful changes that extend beyond our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I've always been interested in what makes people who they are, how our experiences influence us, why we respond the way we do, and what helps us grow. I believe people are more complex than their circumstances, and understanding someone's perspective is often just as important as understanding the problem. I value honesty, compassion, accountability, and the ability to find humor even during difficult seasons. I don't believe personal growth means becoming someone completely different. Sometimes it means recognizing what we've learned, questioning what no longer works, and deciding what we want to carry forward. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with family, horses, the outdoors, music, and football. I appreciate genuine conversations, a good sense of humor, and people who aren't afraid to be themselves.
