My Background and Approach
Therapy helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less suffering and more fulfillment, less sadness and more joy, less stress and more calm, less fighting and more love. You will develop effective coping skills, a fresh perspective, increase empowerment, gradually change your behaviors and beliefs, deal with challenges that arise, uncover strengths, discover things about yourself that you haven't realized before, and get the help that you need. I listen carefully and read between the lines uncovering what might really be going on underneath. I've helped people struggling with overwhelm find their way to feel calmer and more balanced. I've helped people with depression feel interested in life again. I have helped people experiencing complex trauma find a sense of safety. My clients have discovered that it is possible to reclaim the quality of life they want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to creating safety within session, providing a non-judgmental space where you can be yourself, and checking in with you as we go, which includes being open to your feedback or any questions that you may have, to ensure we're on track towards positive change. I believe that the existence of many things, even opposing things, can occur at the same time. I practice nonjudgmental curiosity and acceptance. These beliefs and practices are incorporated into dialectical behavioral therapy, which are utilized in treatment.
