About My Clients
My clients are willing to continue their journey of taking responsibility for their own mental health. This takes shape in a variety of ways, but the one thing that they all have in common is the willingness to change and explore the barriers that keep them from that changed place. An openness to be challenged and a sense of humor are also common traits.
My Background and Approach
With the goals of facilitating change, wellness, and hope, I help clients assess and apply what works best for them to improve self-awareness and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, anger, or other stressors disrupting daily life. I support growth in my client’s healthy choices and identity development, seeking to strengthen autonomy, initiative, self-esteem, achievement, and caring relationships. I am committed to building trust and safety with clients to allow for exploration and resolution of challenges which complicate feeling valued, loved, and successful. I rely on evidence-based integrative approaches and tools ranging from cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, as well as person-centered and acceptance-commitment theories. I am licensed in the state of Washington and have earned certification in trauma-focused and advanced career counseling.
