My Background and Approach
I have experience working with individuals who have experienced various types of traumatic events, including developmental and complex traumas, with several therapeutic modalities, including trauma focused therapeutic approaches, brain spotting, and motivational Interviewing. These approaches assist in working through the effects of the traumatic events, assisting in reinforcing the brain/body connection, processing and changing actions through reflecting on thought patterns preceding the behaviors, and clarifying your unique strengths to facilitate personal change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I find my clients appreciate my direct approach, my understanding of gender norms within our society, and my sense of humor. As a therapist, I support clients in exploring challenges, in addition to providing guidance and perspective to aid in life-altering change.
