My integrative approach uses EMDR as well as deeper methodologies like attachment theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology.
Having deep relationships is crucial to having a happy and meaningful life. In order to understand your life, we will have to understand the relationships that constitute your life and their emotional effect on you. We will look at your current-day relationships and how they compare to your early childhood relationships. Oftentimes, there are some obvious patterns that will shift once they are more thoroughly understood.
Depression is a quagmire that may include anger, irritability, lethargy, and anxiety. Maybe we’re a high-functioning depressive. We may work to exhaustion, over-consume alcohol or drugs, compulsively exercise, shop, or spend hours online. These numbing behaviors may allow us to get through the day, but leave us little hope for the future. Therapy with me is learning to move away from self-blame into a regulated and flexible mind-state where we can explore the roots of your depression.
