About My Clients
I help clients face their lives' biggest transitions. I enjoy working with men and women, although male clients do gravitate to male therapists. Whether it's your loved one, a relationship, career, or cherished pet, everyone faces loss, grief and change at different ages. While helping my clients battle trauma, depression, and anxiety is core to being a therapist, I can say that helping people navigate suicide and bipolar disorder presents challenges I am uniquely and personally qualified for.
My Background and Approach
Like many colleagues, I utilize approaches like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Solution Focus Brief Therapy. What makes me unique is my passionate devotion to Viktor Frankl's logotherapy, as pioneered in his book Man's Search for Meaning. Having sold 20 million copies around the world, Frankl survived WWII's concentration camps and developed a psychological theory, as much a philosophy, that life is defined by the meaning you find in it. When you extrapolate from that one line shapes all forms and practices of psychological discourse. I can sit with any client facing any problem, help them to see it in a lager perspective and frame it relative to the meaning in their lives, finding the solution they were seeking, inside of themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal version of the "Golden rule" is someone can think, believe, love or feel anything or any way they want, as long as they don't hurt other people and they never tell me that what I believe is wrong.
