My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative, focused on building a strong, trusting relationship where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including systemic and evidence-based approaches, tailored to the unique needs of each individual or family. I believe in fostering a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their challenges and work toward growth and healing. My ultimate goal is to guide clients toward self-understanding and equip them with tools they can use beyond therapy. I firmly believe that the solution to challenges is already within the client, and my role is to help unlock that inner strength, empowering clients to navigate life's obstacles independently.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am deeply passionate about mental health within the BIPOC community, which is also the focus of my PhD dissertation. I believe in the power of individuals to push themselves toward becoming their best version, even when it is difficult. Growth and healing often require us to step out of our comfort zones, and I encourage clients to embrace this challenge. I also firmly believe in equality and the importance of creating a world where everyone has access to the tools and support they need for emotional well-being. My faith, cultural competence, and commitment to human rights guide me as I support others in their journey toward self-discovery, empowerment, and healing.
