Dave S. Wallace MSIO, MACP, LMFT

Dave has experience supporting trauma from execution survivors to childhood domestic sexual abuse victims, with significant experience with veterans and religious abuse. He has supported individuals struggling from medical issues, hostage situations, and police brutality trauma. He has supported emotional abuse survivors and those struggling from the collapse of their sense of safety across relationships, families, and governments, with everything ranging from divorce to Covid loss.

Dave has experience supporting both persistent dysthymia and severe depression, as a stand alone issue, medical cause, as a consequence of bipolarity. He has helped individuals make sense of their past and find joy in living again, self regulate, and grow as a a result of their depression. He is particularly knowledgeable about entrepreneurship and work stress, as well as grief as it relates to both family or career losses.

Dave has worked supporting workplace and home life anxiety, ranging from PTSD roots to addiction outcomes. He is specially certified to work with PTSD, addiction, and relationships. He is particularly effective with couples, and helping young men and women adapt to society while building effective strengths. He has helped individuals face the causes of their anxiety and manage their lives with or without relying on medications. He has experience treating Tics and Night Terrors.

Psychodynamic approaches allow us to explore the subconscious connections we have between our past experiences and future expectations, the things hidden from our sight driving our everyday behavior. Making the subconscious conscious gives us more plasticity, flexibility, and capability. Dave is able to leverage psychodynamic practices into new, more effective behaviors and patterns for viewing in the world.

Emotionally focused therapy allows us to release cognitive blocks built up against the chemical limbic system. It allows us to reconnect with our bodies and regain mental processing power. And using this therapy technique, Dave is particularly aware of the differences between men and women and supportive of how men view emotions or engage with their own inner world. He uses EFT to effectively increase the emotional control and responsiveness which builds better lives.

CBT is a staple of psychotherapy, recalibrating our thoughts and beliefs to align with the true nature of the world and the outcomes of our behavior. Dave uses this in conjunction with existential therapy, or more intuitive and solutions-focused therapy for those who are action-focused. Notably, Davis skilled at identifying maladaptive language with limiting belief sets that hindera positive action or creates poor outcomes.
