About My Clients
We live in a time where people feel more disconnected from others and from themselves. Whether it's the pandemic or war, our nervous systems are often dysregulated. I mostly work with people of color and especially across the Asian diaspora. I'm skilled at helping folks work through anxiety, burnout, systemic injustice, depression, grief or loss, cultural and racial identity, school or work issues, family or relationship issues, self-worth, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
People often describe me as empathetic, thoughtful, grounded, and with a good sense of humor. We contain many layers and I’m here to honor all the unique parts of you. I primarily use a somatic (brain/body), mindfulness-based, relational approach toward healing. I also utilize a part-based, trauma-informed approach. After working with hundreds of clients over the last decade, I'm most interested in what will bring you the most healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My strongest values include connection, curiosity, integrity, dignity, and growth. I consider myself a political therapist, meaning that I understand the impact that systems of oppression have on you and your community. I also value our capacity to engage in ancestral healing and tend to the wounds of intergenerational trauma. I'm committed to creating space that honors your wholeness, authenticity, and expansion. As you take this intentional step into therapy, I'll be a collaborator and guide along your journey. If you feel we may be a good fit, please reach out for a free 15-20 minute consultation.
