About My Clients
Midlife is when we set out to transform a "normal" life into one that truly feels like our own: to seek deeper connection with others, bring more spontaneity and playfulness to how we move through the world, and find purpose, wonder, and joy in the routines that shape our days.
My Background and Approach
Trauma, depression, and anxiety can narrow our life. I use proven methods - Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jungian analysis, and solution-focused approaches - to create a therapeutic experience that's meaningful and poetic, while also helping you create space for wonder, playfulness, and joy, and feel better sooner. Before becoming a therapist, I spent twelve years as a software engineer in corporate R&D - work that taught me to see patterns, untangle complexity, and find elegant solutions. Now I bring those skills to therapy, in service of our work together. If you’re a caregiver, I apply my training in Positive Discipline and attachment-based parenting to support you in navigating those relationships. I’m an IFS-informed therapist (IFS Circle program, 2024), and I completed my internship with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, where I helped people living with severe mental illness build meaningful and joyful lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You may meet life situations with conflicting feelings - pulled between competing choices, needs, and priorities. In therapy the different parts of your personality can finally be heard. Through dialogue, the tension inside begins to ease, freeing energy that was tied up in conflict and allowing your system to come into harmony. That energy can then support your goals and aspirations. I combine depth and precision in my work. Through active imagination, we can invite symbolic images and metaphors from the deeper levels of your psyche, creating a therapeutic experience that feels both meaningful and poetic. At the same time, I bring analytical, solution-focused skills to help you navigate present challenges. This blend of insight and practicality makes therapy effective, transformative, and beautiful. As a midlife career changer, a wife, a parent, and an immigrant, I also bring lived experience of moving through major life transitions and finding strength on the other side.
