About My Clients
I focus on clients with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, poor attention and concentration, relationship issues, work stress and transitions, low self-image and self-esteem, boundary issues, and communication challenges. I work with clients in a variety of formats, including individually, as couples, and as families. I see clients of all ages and backgrounds with much experience working with adolescents and young adults. I do not work individually with children younger than six.
My Background and Approach
I use a Family Systems perspective and help clients with identifying and analyzing intergenerational conflicts and patterns; setting appropriate boundaries and differentiating between them and their family member; and improving communication skills. I am LGBTQ+ aligned and welcome open discussion of how identity shows up in the therapeutic space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life’s challenges don’t always respond to our usual strategies and might need more than the typical advice sought from friends and family. Some situations require a short-term solutions approach while others may need deeper exploration and long-term work. That’s where counseling comes in—a neutral third party who can listen, empathize, and introduce new perspectives and skills to help you work through the challenges with support.
