My Background and Approach
When it comes to everyday life, we all can admit it can feel like a never ending climb to our desirable selves. It is within these moments that we can feel alone or believe we cannot overcome the stressors that lie before us. As a mental health counselor, I get the privilege to extend a helping hand, and walk alongside individuals; on their journey towards a holistically healthy life. Given this, my approach towards therapy is empowering, compassionate (with humorous moments when appropriate), and geared to create a space where confronting maladaptive behaviors can be explored; without judgment in mind. Furthermore, my therapeutic interventions demonstrate an eclectic viewpoint; utilizing techniques needed within the moment (ie: CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, etc).
