About My Clients

Something doesn't feel right, but you can’t put your finger on it. Or, you have a VERY good idea of what you wish was different, but you aren't sure how to get there. You feel exhausted, overwhelmed, stressed, burnt out, sad, anxious, or lost. The stress extends to important relationships, and/or may be connected to substance or alcohol use. You're not alone in feeling hopeless. I believe “the answers" already lie within you and I'm here to help you find them.

My Background and Approach

Let's let some light in. Together we'll use curiosity, compassion & creativity to find what's best for you. I believe in mindfulness, humor and connection. I have experience navigating multicultural relationships, chronic pain, body image & work stress and discrimination. Clinically, with substance use, identity, sexuality, anxiety, depression & trauma. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley. I completed my Clinical Internship at SF AIDS Foundation's Stonewall Project, a counseling program dedicated to providing Harm Reduction-based substance use and mental health treatment to gay, bi and trans men who have sex with men (MSM) interested in addressing their drug or alcohol use. Prior to beginning a career in counseling, I worked at tech startups and Fortune 500 corporations where I witnessed the impacts of stress, burnout, and discrimination.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I pursue antiracism, feminism, Harm Reduction, Health at Every Size (HAES) and anti-diet lifestyles, LGBTQ+ allyship and disability justice. I am trauma-informed. I encourage the discussion of intersectional identity. If you're not sure what that means, let's talk about it! I come from a blended, multicultural family and have lived on both coasts. I believe self-compassion and mindfulness can reduce the inevitable suffering that is part of life. I believe in my clients' own wisdom, in learning from mistakes, and in creating a safe relational space where you can fully be, and discover, yourself.
