About My Clients
I am passionate about working with young adults as they try to make sense of their lives! My experience comes from working with folks struggling with addictive and compulsive behaviors and those transitioning out of the criminal justice system. I also love to work with folks struggling with trauma, identity exploration, transitional life issues, relational conflict, anxiety, and depression. I am LGBTQIA affirmative and Health at Every Size and intuitive eating aligned.
My Background and Approach
I am a relaxed, compassionate, and collaborative clinician that utilizes psychodynamic, client-centered, and cognitive behavioral theories. I utilize these theories to build a relationship with you and work with you towards having a life worth living. I am firmly rooted in understanding you as a whole person. I believe that a disconnect from our sense of self can create suffering in our lives. As we work together to acknowledge and understand your past experiences and begin to re-affirm your feelings of personal worth you begin to undo and replace many of these problematic beliefs and patterns. When you are ready, I am committed to providing comprehensive treatment that meets you where you’re at in a safe and nonjudgmental space. I would love to work with you on developing the necessary skills to manage and move through the complex experiences associated with the pain, confusion, shame, or fear that has brought you to my page.
