About My Clients
Are you ready to make change? Do you need more balance? I work with a variety of individuals to help them build a healthier life for themselves through tapping into motivation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and exploring mindfulness and acceptance. Many of my clients experience depression, anxiety, shame, and difficulties navigating career and personal changes. I’ve worked heavily with marginalized folks, such as LGBTQ+ community, non-monogamous individuals, folks in alternative lifestyles
My Background and Approach
Dara Crawley is a Licensed Master Social Worker currently serving as a therapist. As a therapist she has worked with a wide variety of individuals ranging in age, orientation, gender, ethnicity, and background to identify their goals, needs, strengths, and steps to make change. She has provided services in community health and judicial settings, utilizing evidence based approaches to support people in building on their unique strengths to improve their mental health and wellness. She's known for her firm yet gentle approach, reflection, and her bad jokes in session that tend to put folks at ease. Dara provides support, guidance, and encouragement to her clients by focusing on where they are and who they want to become. She believes therapy is teamwork and working together to answer hard questions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every single person has the right to determine the direction of their care, and every single person should be able to explore what growth means to them. There's no one way to exist or right way to exist. There's the way that makes us able to live a healthy and purposeful life. My role is to help you define what that means, and to support you in your journey.
