Many individuals I work with seek help because they feel stuck, disconnected, and overwhelmed. I often work with people wanting to develop or renew artistic/expressive practices and those seeking increased relatedness to their internal life. I am adept at supporting people through periods of pronounced upheaval, transition, and loss.
My Background and Approach
I work from a psychodynamic orientation, attuned to unconscious processes and repetitions, and deeply curious about your ways of making meaning. Our work presses for emergent understandings and deepened connection in the present so that more creative generative futures might unfold. Along with engaging imagination in all its forms- dreams, expressive processes, & fantasy- I encourage noticing embodied experience, both physical and emotional, carefully considering the impact of trauma on your sense of self and world and thoughtfully integrating EMDR when indicated and desired. I emphasize connection + creative renewal- rallying forgotten, neglected, and dormant resources- while working through relational challenges, loss, and change. Welcome adults, adolescents, and partnerships of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions! I'm very glad to meet prospective clients and hear what you're wanting to address.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I find great solace among animals and diverse materialities, happy to notice and attune to place and the non-human world in and out of session. :)
