About My Clients
Many of my clients have unaddressed trauma and grief that is still affecting them as they enter their 20s and 30s. It shows up in their relationships, job, parenting, and self-image. My clients are cycle-breakers looking for the next step in their emotional recovery. They are the first in their family to say “It doesn’t have to be this way and I can do better.”
My Background and Approach
Together we change destructive generational behavior patterns and focus on building emotional regulation and resilience by creating a sense of safety in the body and mind. Our work also includes processing grief - both typical and complex - so clients can move forward. I use narrative therapy to listen without judgment, get curious about your experiences, and helping you reshape your stories – both the ones you’ve learned to tell about yourself and the ones people told about you. When it feels helpful, I also use CBT to zoom in on specific thought patterns or behaviors that may be keeping you stuck
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a former foster mom and volunteer with foster teens. These experiences are part of why I choose to help young adults recover from childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect whether they have left that situation or are trying to mend it. I believe that you you weren't responsible for what happened to you as a child, but as an adult, you are responsible for how you restore the pieces.
