About My Clients
Starting therapy can be a daunting task. Whether you are a first-time client or have a long history with therapy, it can be a struggle to find a therapist who is a good fit. I provide a therapeutic space of safety, care, and compassion. If you are currently experiencing mental health symptoms or just want someone to talk to, I will work alongside you to achieve a greater understanding of yourself and others, and find deeper meaning within your life.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My Master's education emphasized Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology. My journey to become a therapist began in psychology research. Prior to my work as a therapist, I spent 5 years researching treatment methods for eating disorders. Over time, I began to feel called towards therapy. During my Master’s education, I completed a clinical practicum at an inpatient psychiatric hospital where I worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I am currently working at a private practice where I see adolescent and adult clients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy creatively and flexibly. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, meaning that I draw from many theoretical orientations to provide care that is best suited to the unique and individual needs of each of my clients. I seek to attend to and care for your presenting concerns, and I believe that therapy can continue beyond the resolution of unwanted symptoms. I hope that, together, we can remain curious about the unexplored aspects of your personality, behaviors, and emotions that make you uniquely yourself.
