About My Clients
Many of my clients often feel overwhelmed, struggling to balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously. They find it difficult to assess their feelings and rarely take a moment for themselves. Together, we work to explore your current emotions and needs, with the hope of helping you discover your inner strengths.
My Background and Approach
My approach is integrative and holistic, where I utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to my individual client’s needs. My current practice is centered on individuals, couples and families with my approach drawing from psychodynamic, solution-focused and cognitive behavioral models. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as complementary therapies such as mindfulness, meditation, self-advocacy and harm-reduction. I believe in the power of exploring the mind-body connection, and introducing daily self-care practices to promote overall healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in the power of therapy, both as a therapist and as a client. Healing is possible, and my goal is to create a welcoming space where it is safe to unpack difficult emotions and maybe share a few laughs. I am committed to helping my clients feel less alone and validated, while assisting them in creating greater awareness and connection with their inner strengths. My approach is direct and honest, yet warm and non-judgmental. I encourage you to examine your feelings, become curious, and explore your full potential. I am comfortable discussing both what has caused you pain and what makes you laugh. Your strength and ability to feel and heal can bear the same weight as whatever creates fear, doubt, and darkness. As a lifelong learner, I look forward to continuing to learn with my clients, assisting in their healing journeys. It is an absolute honor and privilege to be both a therapist and a nurse, thank you to all that have welcomed me to assist with their healing journey.
