About My Clients
Do you feel weighed down with worry? About what others might think of you? Worried about feeling good enough or getting things right? Maybe you notice this worry extending into your relationships as you struggle to feel secure or understood. This constant cycle of anxiety is exhausting. I understand the discomfort you are carrying. And I want you to know it is possible to feel more confidence and peace in your life.
My Background and Approach
I work with adult individuals, as well as couples / peers in a safe and validating environment. In individual therapy, we will work toward a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences, and address underlying emotional cycles that may be keeping you stuck. Using insight, learned coping strategies, and personal strengths, I aim to help you feel more rooted in yourself, so that you are no longer guided by fear. In Couples / Peer therapy, I aim to help you learn how to stay in connection while you navigate conflict, negotiate needs, and heal past wounds so that you may show up authentically in your relationship, and increase feelings of intimacy and connection. I draw from a variety of modalities including attachment theory, psychodynamic and humanistic therapies, and emotionally-focused couples therapy (EFT) *Please note that I am currently providing online therapy only. I plan to offer in-person sessions in summer 2022*
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am dedicated to providing therapy that affirms and empowers every person. I strive to provide an inclusive space for all clients, especially those who have been historically marginalized and underrepresented. As a white, cisgender therapist, I recognize the impact of my privilege, and am committed to doing the work around educating myself, advocacy, and examining & challenging institutions of oppression.
