My Background and Approach
I've served as a Bereavement Coordinator in a hospice for 2 years. It was an honor to work with the dying because they taught me how to live. I have worked at a Community Health Drug and Alcohol Detoxification Center and in Community Mental Health for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. My specialties include trauma counseling, grief and loss, LGBTQIA as well as anxiety and depression. My goal is to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult issues by allowing space for your feelings, designing a treatment plan based on your strengths, proven techniques and your unique individual needs.I am trained in different modalities of treatment including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Strength-based therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, as well as Integrative Therapies.
