My Background and Approach
Danielle has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a well-researched and empirically supported model for the treatment of trauma of all types including complex PTSD. Danielle is also trained in a variety of other systemic models including Bowen, Solution-Focused, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT founded by Dr. Sue Johnson), and Collaborative therapy among others. Danielle is very client-centered and tailors each client or couple's treatment plan to their unique goals and needs. Danielle also treats eating disorders utilizing a combination of the latest research-based methods including Family-Based Treatment which works best with adolescents and teens and EMDR to reprocess and desensitize underlying body image issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Danielle believes that all individuals contain the resources within themselves to enact positive change - people are powerful. Sometimes they just need help finding that inner strength. Danielle believes that: - There are no 'right' answers - only your life experience which will be respected at all times. - Not every model or therapist is right for every client - let's find what works for you - Healing and happiness are possible for everyone
