Although it is relatable to many, it may be even stronger for you. Starting the process of therapy can be challenging for anyone, but it can be especially daunting for those with depression. You may be struggling to commit to your daily tasks, let alone beginning a therapeutic journey. Depression is much more than just feeling "low" or sad. It can impact and have an influence on nearly every aspect of your life. I work with my clients to acknowledge their symptoms and reduce their frequency and intensity in their lives.

Whether you are dating, engaged, have been married for 30 years, or have a more alternative relationship, my job is to meet you where you’re at. You may have a desire to re-kindle romance, address communication issues, or need help working through a large conflict- help me understand what challenge(s) your relationship has been facing and we will work together to figure out the best treatment approaches to move forward.

One of my goals is for each of you to receive clarity through this process. I hope our work together can not only resolve some issues your relationship may be facing, but also give you the clarity needed to make decisions about your future. Couples counseling requires a commitment from both of you, one that comes with transparency and a willingness to engage in this process, but if you’re ready, so am I.

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where you are and what you’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around you. It is also described as the psychological process of intentionally bringing your attention to experiences occurring in the present moment- free from judgment. This can allow for a state of focused presence that fosters a sense of calm and control.
