About My Clients
Clients that can benefit from my services are those who desire a different and individualized counseling approach to address their substance use disorders associated with legal and illegal substances; including nicotine and caffeine, and or behaviors associated with substance use; including anxiety . Those who have identified a family history of substance use and desire to engage in counseling to end the family cycle of addiction and/or have previously engaged in medication assisted treatment.
My Background and Approach
My background is with counseling those in medicaiton assisted treatement, sober/transitional housing, those with children services cases, those on probation, and those who desire to improve their overall quality of life. I utilize the 12 Step Model, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Mindfulness to assist clients with identifying addictive behaviors they've displayed in active addiction, as well identifying addictive behaviors that are being displayed when there is no use of drugs or alcohol; i.e. anger or anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in individualized and person centered therapy in collaboration with a harm reduction model.
